| Muhammad Rizwan was in hospital |
The night before the match against Australia, Mohammad Rizwan
was in hospital due to a lung ailment.
This was revealed by the national team's batting consultant
Matthew Hayden, who said that Rizwan is a fighter. Later, while batting, Rizwan
was also hit by the ball of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Fortunately,
he was wearing a helmet but the swelling on his face could still be clearly
seen.
It may be recalled that before the semi-finals of the T20
World Cup against Australia, Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik had flu and mild
fever, but later doctors declared them fit for the match after which they
joined the team. He landed on the field.
Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar also shared a picture of
Muhammad Rizwan's hospitalization on Twitter and called him a "hero".
