In-form all-rounder Faheem Ashraf
has fitness issues ahead of the Test series against Australia. He has been
ruled out of the first Test due to a groin injury and is unlikely to play in
the next matches. Muhammad Nawaz also suffered an injury before him. Due to be
out of the series.
Sources have confirmed that
Faheem Ashraf will not be available in the opening matches of the series, there
is also a possibility that he may watch the entire Test series sitting out.
Faheem Ashraf was unfit before
the last league match of PSL, did not participate in the important match
against Lahore. Faheem had participated in the second play-off match against
Peshawar Zalmi on the advice of a doctor and during the second play-off match,
Faheem Ashraf suffered a groin injury again.
The all-rounders are still at
home and their replacement will be decided by the selection committee. The name
of fast bowler Naseem Shah is under consideration as his replacement as Naseem
Shah is already present with the squad as a reserve player but the selection
committee will take a final decision on the replacement player by tomorrow
afternoon.
